We had a wonderful weekend up in Oxford, MS. Phillips and I left on Thursday and thanks to grandparents we were able to revert back to our college years (late nights and sleeping in). Sunday we rushed back to our little fairy to get ready for Trick or Treating!

PUS-KIN
"Pus-kin" Patch 2010

We were running out of time this year to pick out our pumpkin. So we picked up Isabel from school today, did a quick outfit change, and off we went. We let Isabel do the picking this year and she did a great job picking out one of the biggest pumpkins I've ever had. Yes, daddy has a job ahead of him to carve this enormous pumpkin. Stay tuned for carving pictures to come!

Elmo Live
Saturday, Liz and I took the girls to Elmo Live at the New Orleans arena. "Elmo Party" Isabel says!! She had a wonderful time and sat there the entire 2 hours....only to whimper a couple of times when Elmo left the stage. In a desperate attempt to calm her down. I said, "Elmo has to go potty...he'll be right back." She screams out, "Elmo go PooPoo!!!!" I respond, "Yes, baby Elmo had to go poopoo, he'll be right back after this song." "Otay mama!"
Another side note: Isabel has started this obsession with hoarding items in her arms. Everytime we leave the house she has at least four things in her arms. Example (This morning): hairbrush, spoon, rubber duckey, her "cat", and the babydoll. It is soooo funny, it is like she thinks someone is going to take them away from her.

Ghost in the Oaks
Friday night October 22, Isabel turned into a beautiful purple fairy to go to Ghost in the Oaks. It is a Halloween party in City Park at the Amusement park/Storyland. Besides the fact that she was "scared" the entire time....which is by the way our newest thing "Mommy I scared." I'm not sure were she learned that. But she is scared of everything these days and has to have me hold her. So I spent the majority of the night with a 30 pound fairy on my hip, while daddy pulled the wagon behind us. Her favorite thing was the carousel ride.....we rode 4 times!
Also, super cute....she is really into pony tails "tails" as she calls them. We now have different names for "one tail" means regular pony tail, "half tail" means half hair up and half hair down, and "two tails" means pig tails. She wanted "two tails" with her fairy costume. And by request she wore them proud. Don't the ringlets remind you of Cindy from the Brady Bunch. And NO I did not make them do that....her hair just curls that way!

ABUL and MIMEE BFF

Isabel (also known as ABUL to Remi) and Remi (also known as Mimee to Isabel) are BEST of friends. They adore each other and both ask for each other multiple times a day. Remi Wheeler (17 months) lives down the street from us and her family has been so wonderful to Phillips and I. It has been really great seeing these two little girls grow to love one another. Here are some recent shots of the two of them....getting into mischief.
