Happy Birthday Isabel

My Dear Isabel,

Its hard to believe that you are TWO years old today. You are the light in both mommy and daddys life and we can't begin to imagine life without you in it. You are such a blessing and a gift from GOD! You have added so much joy and energy to our family and we love you more than you'll ever know. You are such a sweet little girl....that can be somewhat bosy at times. You are smart and beautiful, always smiling and acting silly, very head strong (which will take you far in life someday) and very independent (you get this naturally). Happy Birthday my little tootybear!!!

Corn on the Cob

In between our Natchez to Lake Charles Christmas vacation we stopped at Popeyes. Isabel wanted a corn on the cob. I had to post this picture of her grubbing down on some corn on the cob in her carseat....and not a kernal missed!

Christmas in Lake Charles Part 1

We also celebrated Christmas in Lake Charles (december 24-26). We went to Christmas eve Mass at 4:00. Celebrated Christmas eve and Santa at Mia and Bops House and had so much fun with Mia, Bops, Uncle Bobby, Uncle Beau, Great Grams and Mr. Angelo. Thanks Mia and Bops and Uncle Bobby for all my books, 2 outfits, alphabet computer,piano, and robe. Thanks Uncle Beau and Matthew for my new bookbag. Thank you Great Grams for my pillow pet and books. Thank you Timpa family for my dance wand, singamajig, and sweater.

Christmas in Lake Charles Part II

We also celebrated with Pawpaw, CC, Uncle Brent and Uncle Matt. And made our rounds to visit the whole Moss clan at Mimi's house. Thank you Pawpaw and CC for my new stroller, ornament, and mixer for the kitchen. Thank you Uncles for my baby diaper bag and twin babies. Thank you Doise family for the Boombox/MP3 player. Thank you Mimi for the piggy bank, cat towel and book.

Christmas in Natchez

We made our way up to Natchez to celebrate Christmas (december 22-24). Thank you BB and Big for my books, puzzle, outside playhouse, and pillow pet. Thank you Grandmama to adding to my savings account. Thank you Aunt Sarah and Uncle Robert for my book and lamb stuffed animal. Thank you Granny and Sonny for my books, stacking blocks, and grill set. Thank you Aunt Anna and Uncle Dunbar for the puppet cat, Beauty and the Beast, and book. Thank you Jenkins/Phillips Family for being so wonderful! Uncle Dunbar and Aunt Anna we missed you this year.

Teddy Bear Tea

This morning I took Isabel to the Roosevelt Teddy Bear Tea. We got all dolled up and had a mommy and me morning. It was beautifully decorated with appeances made by Santa, Reindeer, Mrs. Claus, Sugar Plum Fairy, and Santas Helpers. Isabel looked like a doll in her Christmas dress! She loved Santa...and was so nervous to sit on his lap. She was not so sure about the very large reindeer....see picture below. I am definitely going to make this a Jenkins girl tradition each year....We Loved It!! And at the end we got a keepsake Teddy Bear to remember our special day.

Trip to Scottsdale, Arizona

We had an amazing time visiting the Medley's in Scottsdale, Arizona (December 9-12). Isabel had her first flight and did quite well....considering her head cold/ear infection. She was enamoured by the airplanes and was so excited she did not take naps on both flying days. Thanks to Andrew and Marissa we were able to enjoy some of the beautiful desert scenes and we even went horsebake riding to the exact place Andrew proposed to Marissa. I also got to love on my beautiful Godchild....baby Davis. We had such a wonderful time....we will be back!
