More photos from Swimming

This past weekend, our sweet neighbors went out of town and let us borrow their pool. At first Isabel was a BIG FAT SCARDY CAT! It took her a while to warm up to the idea of swimming. She eventually settled and really enjoyed being pulled around in the yellow floaty tube....she would exclaim "whooooooooooooo". It was really precious. We played it safe and stayed head above water. It was a beautiful weekend with Daddy home so we went swimming both Saturday and Sunday (note two different suits).

Birthday/Mothers Day

This year I was fortunate enough to celebrate my 29th birthday and mothers day together on MAY 9th. My birthday was wonderful...but the best gift of all....is being a mom to Isabel. For the first time in my life, I really felt the celebration of mothers...and I was so appreciated (especially by Phillips). As moms, we work so hard at giving and providing the best of the best for our children. We act so unselfishly and go and go until exhaustion. It was so rewarding to feel such a big thank you on this day. It was also such a blessing to celebrate this glorious day with both my Mom (Mia) and grandmother (Grams). You have been such role models to me and I thank you for all of your love, guidance, friendship, and inspiration. What a wonderful day!!!!

Play Date in Lake Charles

It is very rare that I actually get to spend time with my friends when visiting Lake Charles. It usually is a very busy weekend (packing one and a half days) visiting LOTS of family. But last week Isabel and I headed off the Lake Charles a little early...and I planned ahead.

I had such a wonderful time with my friends and their precious little ones. Thank you Kate and John Paul and Therese, Shane and Emma, Adrienne and Bella, and Maria and Giana for coming to play with us!!! The play kitchen (that my mom kept all these years for grankids) was a huge hit.

Isabel's Professional Photos

These were taken in the French Quarter in March 2010 (Isabel 14 months). Thank you Amy Drouet (photographer) for being so patient and going through 4 outfit changes. Here are the pictures that I ordered....yes there were tons to choose from and yes I had to limit myself (for finacial and wall space reasons).

Two more teeth...makes EIGHT!

Isabel woke up this morning with two more teeth....one on bottom right and one on top left. This makes EIGHT all together, and also explains all of the moodiness and drama that has been going on at our house. Isabel has recently been a little extra fussy, bossy, and moody and when she does not get her way....watch out! I have been told this is normal behavior of a toddler coming into her own. But this morning I find comfort in the fact that....I was right it has been her TEETH ALL ALONG!!

Disney on Ice

I took Isabel to Disney on Ice today at the Lakefront Arena with some of my co-workers and their children. Isabel had a ball....clapping, yelling, singing, swaying to the music. She was mesmorized at first...reaching out to the characters as if she could pick them up. She fed off the crowd and when the crowd cheered so did Isabel. The second half was a little bit iffy....she started to get a bit wiggly. All in all (as Isabel would say) she was a....GOOD GULL!!! Aka: good girl!!

It was so special for me to take her....I love DISNEY and I am smitten that she getting into it too. She dressed up in character as Snow White!!! Here is the princess herself....It was a perfect day!

Abigail, Ella, and Isabel....The most beautiful princesses I know!!!
