We carved two pumpkins last night. Isabel was hilarious...she thought the pumpkin smelled so bad and at one point she even gagged. She tried cleaning it out and then decided that she would just watch.
We had visiters this past weekend. Maria and Gianna Lewis came to Covington. We had such a wonderful weekend playing and spending quality time together! We took the girls to Mrs. Heather's Pumpkin Patch in Hammond, LA and the pictures tell the story. It was a child's dream! Gianna and Isabel hit it off and are so much a like...and Caroline so desparately wanted to be big.
Phillips and I met up with some friends in New Orleans and took the girls to Ghost in the Oaks in City Park. Remy and Isabel reunited for the evening and they were unstoppable.....riding every ride at the amusement park. I have never seen Isabel so aggressive before. She was not scared of anything. One ride was so fast I thought I was gonna loose it....Isabel rode it twice.
Caroline is now old enough to somewhat engage in Isabel's pretend play. Isabel is so great with Caroline and quite the little mommy! She makes sure that her sister can not get her hands on anything small or dangerous. Isabel mostly encourages and sometimes eggs Caroline on. All the while, Caroline is trying so hard just to keep up. They are so fun to watch!
Isabel has been taking swim lessons starting in July 2012. We decided to keep her in lessons over the fall semester because she was doing so well. She is now learning different strokes and can go under, come up for a breath and go back under. She is pretty much going the length of the pool with some cues. She loves it!
