Caroline 6 weeks

Take note of those little arm and leg rolls.....Caroline is doing super! She is still waking up around 2 and 5 am each night to eat, but then goes right back down to sleep. Right now she is sleeping in the little fisher price rock and play sleeper by our bed. She is starting to stay awake for longer periods of time during the day. We are still waiting for that first real social smile....the one that melts your heart. She has a precious dimple on her right cheek and she loves bath time. Her eyes are still blue (navy) and her hair is going to be dark brown.

Mardi Gras 2012

We had a ball in New Orleans this year for Mardi Gras. Isabel is the Mardi Gras queen. We started watching parades 2 weekends before Mardi Gras. Phillips and I attended the Hermes ball the Thursday before Fat Tuesday. Isabel and I watched daddy ride in the Hermes parade on Friday (Uncle Beau and Matt came to help out for the night parade. We took a rest on Saturday (parades canceled and moved due to rain/weather). We went strong ALL day on Sunday watching 3 parades in a row (and Mia came to play). Phillips and I took just Isabel on Monday night and left Caroline with Mia to watch 2 more night parades. Here are just some of the pics....I have to collect more from I-phones and Mia's camera.

Isabel loved the ladder this year and would sit up there for hours at a time. When a float came by she demanded to whoever stood behind her (usually daddy)..."Hurry put your hands up!" Then she proceeded to scream over and over again...THROW ME SOMETHING MISTER." It was priceless to see how happy and consumed she was. Now we are left with about 2 tons of beads and 100 light up toys and stuffed animals. And one hoarse little 3 year old!

Second set of Tubes

Isabel had her second set of ear tubes put in on Wednesday February 15th at Children's Hospital in New Orleans. She was such a trooper and such a compliant little patient. I was a bit worried that she would give us trouble....but all in all did so well. She said that her favorite part of the hospital was riding in the bed. Here is picture of Isabel right after getting "Silly juice" which is what they give before the anesthesia and they are wheeling her off to surgery...."riding in the bed."

Caroline 1 month update

I had so much fun doing a little mini photo session with our camera today. I dressed her up in one of the many dresses that she has....figured I might as well dress her up before she outgrows some of them. Caroline is 1 month old and weighed 10 pounds at her check up (moving up to the 75 percentile in weight). She is a pretty good baby but does have a little colic. Her little tummy hurts after mealtime and sometimes during feedings. She has been sleeping really good considering. Last night was a great night. She slept from 7:30 pm to 12:oo am then from 12:30 to 3:30am and then from 4:00 to 8:00 am. I can't believe that she is already a month old. Time is going by so much faster with Caroline. We love her to pieces!!! What a blessing the Lord has given us.

Little Rascals Parade

Phillips and I took Isabel and Caroline to The Little Rascals Parade in Metairie today. It is easy, safe, and very kid friendly. We met up with the LeCompte girls and had a great time. The weather was breezy and comfortable. Isabel had so much fun filling up her Mardi Gras bag!
