Caroline 6 months

Weight: 18 lbs 8 oz
Height: 26 inches
Head: 16 3/4

Caroline is such a happy happy baby!  She is now eating most all baby food fruits and vegetables (peas, green beans, carrots, sweet potatoes, squash, apples, bananas, pears, peaches, and prunes).  The other day I gave her avocado and she loved it.  She is sitting for long periods of time and enjoys to play sitting up.  She reaches for everything and then brings it to her mouth.  She started saying Dadadadadada....she laughs at funny faces and she is ticklish at her legs and around her neck.  She is a great sleeper with apx 2-3 naps a day and then from 8:00 to 6:00 at night.  She loves Praise Baby DVD just like her sister.  She loves music.  She adores Isabel.  And she enjoys car rides.

House Guests

Mia, Grams, and Aunt Libby came to visit last Tuesday and Wednesday July 17 and 18th.  Look at all these girls!  I had a wonderful time showing them our new home and city.  We ate at some of the local restaurants and I took the day off on Wednesday to go shopping in downtown Covington.  Thanks ladies for coming to visit!

Along the way

On the way back home from the Russum House we stopped to see BB and Granmama, and Big and Granny.  Even though it was a short visit I managed to get some pictures.

The Russum House Weekend Gettaway

We had the opportunity to sneak away to CC and PawPaw's new camp/home/land near Port Gibson, MS.  The Russum house dates back to the 1800's and is plantation style along with apx. 150 acres of land, woods, pond, and pool.  We had a wonderful time relaxing, swimming, riding around the property, collecting flowers, picking fruit, swinging, and eating.  But the best part of the weekend other that resting was teaching Isabel to hold her breath.  This has been a difficult concept for Isabel and up until now she has been fearful to get water up her nose, in her ears, and in her mouth.  But after about a 2 hour swim lesson from daddy.....she turned into a fish!  She is now swimming half the lenth of the shallow end, can jump in and swim to you, and go under to get a pool stick (provided that she is wearing her googles).  We had such a fun weekend and we will be back soon!

UNTIL NEXT TIME!!!

Grandparent CAMP!

Isabel spent some time in Lake Charles the last week of June.  She spent a few nights with CC and PawPaw and a few nights with Mia and Bops.  She was such a big girl to stay away from mom and dad for a week.  She had the most wonderful time.  I will be adding pictures from my camera that family sent while she was gone!  Thanks Grandparent camp!

Happy Birthday Bops!

We celebrated Bops birthday on July 1st in Lake Charles.  It was so nice have a short visit with the fam!

Pajama Time

The girls right before bedtime playing on the floor.

Global Wildlife Safari

We went to the Global Wildlife Center in June with the Reed Family.  It was AMAZING!  I really felt like I was in Africa.  The Giraffe were by far my favorite.  We had a wonderful time and will definitely be going back.
