Isabel's Ballet Recital/May 27, 2012

We are so proud of Isabel.  She has been taking ballet and tap from a little studio down the road call City Park Movement. Her class meets every Saturday morning and her sweet teacher is Ms. Kat.  She started in the fall session of 2011 and has really enjoyed it.  The teacher has had nothing but wonderful things to say about Isabel.  She said that she has been so focused and is very driven to get the moves just right.  At home she has been spouting out ballet terminology  and showing off her moves for the past 6 months.  The studio and teacher are very laid back and at the last minute decided to throw together a little recital.....OUTSIDE in the summer.  It was quick and pretty painless, except it was blazing hot!  She was a grasshopper (and they made their costumes the Saturday before the Sunday performance).

This has been the perfect intro into dancing and because she loves it so much I have signed her up for dancing in Covington starting in the fall (that means 4 hour recitals with real costumes).  She does have some rhythm.  I don't know about the grace yet:)

MOVING

We closed on our house in Covington, LA on April 30, 2012.  We moved May 26, 2012.  It took a village....including help from family and movers.  We are finally getting settled after being in our house for one week.  We are so excited to finally be opening this chapter to our lives.  This is something both Phillips and I have been working toward for the almost 7 years of marriage. We have chosen to reside on the Northshore of New Orleans and can't wait to see what the future brings.  Phillips starts his practice at the Gastrogroup in Covington on July 1st.   I am commuting to New Orleans for the time being Monday-Thursday (NO more working on Fridays).  We hired sweet Darlene (who is a God send) to stay with Caroline and Isabel at home (no more daycare for Caroline!).  Isabel is taking a short break from school and enjoying her new home....and play room!  LIFE IS SO GOOD!

4 month stats

Caroline's 4 month stats taken on 5-14-12:

Weight: 13 lbs 12 ounces
Height: 24 inches

She is in the 50th percentile for both weight and height.  She is sleeping through the night.  Rolling both ways.  Sleeping on her tummy.  She sucks her thumb.  She is cooing, smiling, and laughing!  She just recovered from her first real illness....the stomach bug!

Caroline 4 months

I am such a happy happy baby!  I love to smile and only get upset when I am starving or really really tired.  I sleep in my crib now....mostly through the night.  I have a little cough right now.  Sometimes it wakes me up around 2:00 am and then I realize that I am kinda hungry.  My mommy is still breastfeeding me and I am taking 6 ounce bottles while I am at daycare.  I can flip from by back to my tummy, but then once I get there I get frustrated and can't do anything about it.  I love to suck my thumb!  And each night I can fall asleep by myself turned to the side with my ankles crossed and thumb in my mouth.  I love my sister, but sometimes she squeezes me too hard.  I like for mommy and daddy to hold me facing outward so that I can see everything.  And I am almost laughing....belly style!
