Father's Day

Dearest Daddy-O,

Thank you for being the best daddy-o in the world. Even though I don't tell you or show you enough how much I love and adore you....I am always asking mommy...."Is daddy gonna be home?" When you are away at work, I am always saying...."I miss my daddy." I love you so much! I have so much fun playing with you: "Eye Winkle", "Booty Shark", "I got your nose....gimme it back", chasing all around the house, flipping on the ground, jumping on the sofa and bed, watching Mickey Mouse in your bed every morning, swinging "Super Fast", doing yard work, washing cars...and getting all wet, sharing chocolate, and reading stories. Thank you for all that you do for me.

I love you, Isabel

Mother's Day

We had a fabulous day! We all met up in Baton Rouge to celebrate Mother's Day and my big 30th birthday. Here are some family shots. Thank you Uncle Beau and Matthew for hosting a wonderful day.

I can't even begin to explain the blessing of being a mother. Isabel has made my world and brings me such joy. I love, love, love, giving my whole heart.....time.....energy.....patience...and so on, and would not have it any other way.

My FUN weekend

My weekend started with Phillips and I attending "Zoo to Do" on Friday night. This is a fundraiser the Whitney bank hosts every year at the Audubon Zoo. It was amazing. The whole Zoo illuminated, decorated like you would not believe, gourmet New Orleans restaurant booths everywhere you looked, alchohol stations, and the famous Four Tops played. If you have never been, I highly recommend going. Then Saturday we woke up and I took Isabel to a birthday party at the park (Mia and Great Grams came along). Then Phillips and I celebrated a day together at Jazz Fest. We watched Trombone Shorty and Jimmy Buffet. It was such a special birthday weekend....and huge thank you to my mom and grandmother for babysitting!!!

Easter Morning

Someone must be a good girl cause the Easter bunny made a stop. Isabel consistently asked the Easter Bunny for THREE cupcakes (one green, blue, and red). And she was soooo excited to see that not only did he leave them but mom and dad let her eat them for breakfast.....which made for an interesting Mass. She was a little extra wiggly today from a sugar high. The bunny also left eggs outside for her to find. And Phillips and I just had to take some pictures of Isabel in her Easter dress. I have to say she looked like a doll.....acted a mess in Church....but looked like a doll! God is so GOOD!!!

Our local garden/plant shop hosted an amazing easter egg hunt this morning. Eggs were EVERYWHERE....must have been 3,ooo eggs. They also had the Easter bunny visit, a clown making balloons, lemonade, coffee, and cupcakes. Thanks Garden Gate for a wonderful Saturday morning.
